Holidays: cost the earth?
We all know holidays cost the earth financially, but with climate change at the forefront of our minds we now have to consider what effect our travels have on the environment.
So what is the best way to travel if you have decided to take a city break but want to keep your carbon footprint as small as possible?
We pitched the plane, the train and the car against each other to determine how much C02 would be emitted when travelling to and from three of the most popular city destinations in Europe: Barcelona, Paris and Rome.
