  1. Apparently there are more and more of us deciding to (or having to) consider "three generation" living; 80,000 households and counting! There are many reasons to go 3G; the elderly parents need some help, the middle generation need to reduce their mortgage, or need some child care support, we can't have a mortgage and a job on one income after the divorce, redundancy looms or even, wait for it, I still love my parents even though I'm middle aged! Going 3G is fraught with issues that you all need to consider and sort out, however. Having taken this step three years ago, and still being sane and solvent, I decided to launch a not-for-profit website to assist other folk who are thinking of doing the same. The website is now launched and could really do with some public input. If you are thinking of going 3G, or indeed if you have tried it and disliked it, or tried it and succeeded, then I'd love you to visit and comment, ask questions, offer advice or just read. I don't think this post contravenes the rules of this website so hopefully we will see you at www.3generation.org.uk soon. Thanks Rus

  2. We are visiting the U.K. love your show and watch it twice a week in Australia. We are about to start a "Grand Design" on an old Australian colonial homestead in New South Wales, circa 1832.Very old by Australian standards!!! We have around six months work on a house we built in Crete, Greece, and before starting the new exciting project in Australia. We think this may be good subject matter for your programme, and would be pleased to hear from you. Many Thanks Bob

  4. Hi Clare I've looked on the website for a pic - it's the Bristol Sugar Cube house, I think - but can't see anything here (although we do have galleries of every Grand Designs house ever, that particular angle of that house isn't there). You might want to try the magazine people - contacts above.
