Like one third of the UK population, journalist Jon Henley is priced out of the property-owning club. Having sold his flat in London twenty years ago, Jon has returned to the UK unable to afford to buy in the capital. Despite house prices falling, many are still unable to get on the property ladder.
Jon: ‘What haunts me is that without a home to call my own, all I’ll be able to leave my children are my property problems.’
The boom of the last ten years has made many property owners rich, but for those not fortunate enough to own, a life locked out of the property market is the grim reality.
