Chat Ed : Welcome to this evening's 10 YEARS YOUNGER chat with Nicky Hambleton-Jones! Nicky, with the help of her time-fighting trio, attempts each week to make one person look 10 years younger. Here’s what you wanted to ask her…
Nicky : Hi everyone. Thanks for being here! I look forward to your questions.
Dave2 : Do you think you look as young as you could do?
Nicky : I put a lot of effort in preserving myself naturally. At the moment I am going eau natural.
seanw : Do you think that sending the message to people that the best way to look better and younger is to turn to cosmetic surgery? Especially since your show follow 'You are what you eat', would it not be better to place emphasis on improving yourself through healthy eating and exercise?
suzi : Why is it that to make yourself look ten years younger is to use cosmetic surgery?
Nicky : Absolutely. The show is about making people look ten years younger - we try to emphasise that healthy eating and not smoking is key to looking better. We try to correct the effects of people's bad habits. Not everyone on the series gets cosmetic surgery. It really depends on each person.
lyralice : what would you do if one of your projects went terribly wrong? would you still show it on the show?
Nicky : Yeh
pepsi : has anyone been upset with the results?
Nicky : It has not happened yet. We do not take on people we cannot deliver on. With cosmetic surgery things can go wrong, and if it did then we would probably show it as the show costs a fair bit to make.
pepsi : has anyone been upset with the results?
Nicky : Some people are disappointed if they do not get ten years off. We say to them it is not the end result that is important but how they feel about themselves.
josephine : Hi Nicky! I'm a fashion student and want to be a stylist - What other kind of styling jobs have u had in the past and do you have any advice?
Nicky : I run my own styling business, so I specialise in normal people. The best thing to do is to try and get an internship at a fashion magazine or contact the London College of Fashion who run several different styling courses.
Caitlin : Have you had cosmetic surgery, Nicky?
Pauline : Would you go through the full process yourself in a few years?
Nicky : I have not had cosmetic surgery, no.

Nicky : Never in a million years would I go on the show. If you can avoid surgery, then do it at all costs. I am trying to maintain myself the natural way.
x_Kate_x : what is one the main mistakes people make that make them look older
Nicky : The worst thing is smoking and sun damage.
Stephanie K Gale : Is the any tips for making your eyes look bigger and your cheeks looking not as chubby?
Nicky : For the eyes you can use pearl white pencil around the bridge of your nose and corners of your eyes. Also lightly use shadow as a liner around the corner of your eyes. Brown or black will make them look bigger. Using blush on your cheekbones will make your cheeks look smaller.
Lani : How can you treat acne
Lani : Can you tell me how can I treat my son’s acne please
Nicky : The best thing for you to do would be to contact a dermatologist, that and a healthy diet and lifestyle.
digitalskittles : Nicky, are your eyes naturally that sparkly or do you use drops?
Nicky laughs
Nicky : No!
Nicky : I have never used drops!

kate : where was the blue fitted pinstripe jacket from that featured on tonight's programme?
Clarey : Can you please tell me where you get your lovely sequin scarves from?
Nicky : The jacket was from TopShop; in their designer section. The scarves are from Mss Selfridge and Oasis.
smithers-x : Who has been your favourite 'patient?'
Nicky : It is hard to say as they are all so different. There is one called Sharon from Wales who has not been shown yet - she was our best transformation. But I have loved working for every single one of them.
anna : Hi Nicky, why do you think the show is so popular?
Nicky : Mainly because everyone is so interested in looking better and younger. People are living longer and want to look as good on the outside as they feel on the inside. The show rounds up all the treatments they can use to enable them to look younger.

Nicky : My knees!

jas : i don't link the glasses very much - difficult to see your eyes
pallas : Do you ever feel that what you do is rather superficial?
Nicky : Not at all
ana : hey that nasty - i love the glasses! there v cool!

Nicky : All I am doing is boosting someone’s self-esteem. What we do on the outside is irrelevant, we concentrate on how they feel inside. This way they will feel better about themselves and therefore take better care. While it may appear superficial it is actually very deep and meaningful
Daniela : I have big boobs, small waist and large hips. Help! What do I wear?
CarolAnn : Any tips on outfits that flatter big boobs?
Nicky : Daniela, you should get fitted clothes. Wear v-neck tops to show up your cleavage and break up your waist, disguise your hips with dark colours on your bottom half to make you appear thinner. Accessorising cleverly can take the eyes away from your waist.
lalala : how do you make boobs look bigger without having implants?
Nicky : Shirts can help flatten boobs. Vertical stripes too. But padded push-up bras help make boobs look bigger. 'Chicken fillets' inserts can also help.
arty : tips to make the mouth less small?
Nicky : For making it look bigger you can use a pencil to draw a line around the lips, then cover it up with gloss.
mystic : what is your favourite treatment that has been used on one of the 'patients'?
Nicky : I think face peels are fantastic, they rejuvenate skin and mean you do not have to go under the knife.

yvonne s : where did you get your glasses from ?
Nicky : I got them seven years ago from a shop in Regent Street. They are made a by a designer from Paris called Mikli.
