ENGLISH SPINNER AND ARSENAL FAN PHIL TUFNELL ON THE 1979 F.A. CUP FINAL

We were watching that round at my mate's house - loads of us round there all of us Arsenal supporters. And 2-0 up, absolutely cruising it, lovely hot sunny day, no worries was it? And then the next thing I know they have pulled one back. And I thought to myself: "Oh well don't worry there is only about 10 minutes to go or something, we'll just keep cool and we will still do it." Next thing it's two all and my mate nearly broke the telly actually because I think he had had a load of those big bottles of cider around like you do when you are young. So they've all gone straight at the telly and we've nearly broken his Mum and Dad's telly. So we are just cleaning all the cider or whatever off the telly and everything and then go: "Hold a minute, go on, go on, go on" and Alan Sunderland runs in and tips it over the keeper. 3-2. We're in the lead again. And everything went off again you know what I mean. Wrecked the front room.
