Shirley has a makeover!

Who'd have guessed that Shirley Maddison has a job that requires her to look good for clients? She works every hour God sends preparing gourmet food, and she should be out making a good impression serving the food too and meeting the clients. In reality, she does anything to avoid working front of house because of her worries about the way she looks. Shirley had fallen into the trap of thinking that a short hair cut, is the only hair cut for a woman past the age of forty!
But that short hair was only adding years on Shirley, so Andrew opted for a full head of hair extensions to add length, weight and most importantly youth!
To enable the extensions expert to match the new hair colour perfectly, Andrew coloured Shirley’s hair first, with a hazel tone that complemented Shirley’s eyes.
After the extensions were added, Andrew used a razor blade to reduce the length and add the finishing touches to Shirley’s new head of hair, by shaping the hair around the front and layering the hair internally.
TOP TIP: If you’re thinking of having hair extensions then your hair needs to be four to five inches long before any extensions can be attached. Once attached, the extensions have a life-span of three to four months, after which, they need to be professionally removed or replaced.

Ruby used specific colours, tones and techniques to give Shirley a more feminine and softer looking appearance.
A palate of neutral pinks was used around the eyes and a blusher applied to Shirley’s fantastic high cheek bones; this kept the look subtle, classy and youthful.
TOP TIP: for vanishing eyebrows like Shirley’s, pick a brow colour that suits your complexion i.e. near the natural eyebrow colour. Don’t draw in heavy lines, but apply the colour using a brush and flick the colour into the gaps of the hair. With the right colour and application, a soft and natural appearance will be guaranteed.
