Crashed in the Desert

| Next | ||
Carl du Plessis, director of a South African company, charters a light aircraft for him and his team on a Botswanan trip. Aboard are friend and business partner Neb Graorac, recently married Mike and Lynette Nikolic and pilot Costa Marcandonatos. They set out to fly from the capital, Gaberone, to a small town, Maun, 600 miles away. The two-hour flight will take them over the Kalahari Desert. Though they take off in good conditions and the atmosphere aboard the plane is relaxed, Lynette is not. Her worst fears are realised when she notices oil seeping from an engine. Costa decides to shut the engine down. The plane can fly on one engine but in the thin hot air and with a full load the plane loses altitude. They desperately search for a landing strip and try the radio for help, but they find nowhere safe to land and lose contact on their radio. |
